In the cosmetics industry, controlling particulate contamination is a key challenge. An urgent need in a constrained space
Recently, a cosmetics manufacturer contacted Erlab to address a very specific issue: rapidly creating a controlled particulate environment for raw material sampling, while operating within a limited workspace.
The challenge was twofold. On the one hand, securing current operations and supporting an increase in production capacity. On the other hand, anticipating a planned relocation the following year, without investing in a fixed or short-term solution.

A scalable solution designed for today… and tomorrow
After analysing the environment and site constraints, Erlab’s teams designed a custom-made P.Box laminar airflow ceiling, initially in a compact 2 × 2 metre configuration. This solution integrates seamlessly into the existing premises while providing an optimal level of protection against particulate contamination.
One of the key aspects of the project was its scalability. From the outset, the filtered laminar airflow ceiling was designed to be extended at a later stage to a final 4 × 2 metre configuration when installed in the customer’s new facilities. The result is a long-term investment, with no need to replace the initial equipment.
