Vertical Laminar Airflow Cabinets provide flawless protection for laboratory samples and processes by creating an ISO Class 5 sterile working environment free from any particulate contamination.
Laminar flow. Zero contamination.
The Loïs Vertical Laminar Airflow Cabinet is an essential equipment for any laboratory application requiring an impeccably clean, particle-free working environment.
Equipped with an H14 HEPA supply filter (99.995% efficiency in accordance with EN 1822-1:2019), this hood ensures the purity of your work area. It delivers a downward laminar airflow that creates a sterile atmosphere achieving ISO Class 5. This ultra-clean environment guarantees that your delicate procedures (cell culture, media preparation, etc.) are completely free from particulate contamination. As a result, you achieve unmatched data reliability and the assurance that your samples are protected under conditions of maximum stability and purity.
Effective protection for your sensitive samples
Simplified maintenance
The 304L stainless steel work surface, resistant to corrosion, and the fully lift-up front panel make it easy to clean the entire work surface.
Everyday comfort
Uniform LED lighting with adjustable intensity up to 750 lux, a front glass panel tilted at 10° for a natural and comfortable working posture, and cable pass-throughs for convenient equipment setup.
Intuitive interface
Monitoring of safety parameters and customization of operating settings, with innovative built-in applications such as a calculator and timer.

PERFORMANCE
No particles or pollution during handling
Loïs Vertical Laminar Airflow Cabinets are designed to create a particle-free work surface with ISO class 5 handling protection, in accordance with standard 14644-1:2015 .
Air is blown into the work area through a high-efficiency particulate air filtration system (HEPA). The air flow is maintained at 0.40 m/s in the workspace. This meets current standards.
SAVINGS
Achieve savings and increase the productivity of your laboratory.
Since its creation, Erlab has been committed to designing and producing its products sustainably. Laminar flow hoods feature LED lighting for low energy consumption.
SAFETY
An iso class 5 environment for optimal protection.
The air flow filter removes particles from the ambient air before blowing into the workspace, protecting the samples handled against the risk of cross contamination.
VERTICAL LAMINAR AIRFLOW CABINETS
The core of performance

A simple and intuitive interface
The hood is equipped with a touch screen for ease of use. In the event of a fault, visual and audible alarms warn the user.
Enhanced protection
The G4 prefilter installed upstream of the absolute filter provides effective protection, extending the service life of the H14 HEPA filter.
Improved filtration performance
The supply air filter removes particles from the ambient air before it is blown into the working chamber, thereby protecting handled samples from the risk of cross-contamination.
Filter protection
The airflow distribution grille, covering the entire supply surface, provides absolute protection of the filter, ensuring excellent airflow laminarity.
Ultra-resistant work surface
304L stainless steel work surface, resistant to corrosion.
Painted steel working chamber
Very easy to maintain
Integrated cable pass-throughs
Allows connection of external devices.
Germicidal UV tube (optional)
Decontamination of the working chamber with a cycle duration programmable via the touchscreen interface.

We have the answers to your questions.
Does this hood protect the user?
A laminar flow hood protects the product, not the user.
It is designed to prevent contamination of your samples, but it does not replace a biological safety cabinet (BSC) when handling hazardous or pathogenic agents.
What is the difference between vertical and horizontal laminar flow?
Vertical: filtered air flows downward from the ceiling toward the work surface. Ideal for most laboratory procedures, especially when it is important to limit the resuspension of particles.
Horizontal: air flows from the rear toward the front. Ideal for more delicate procedures where a perfectly linear airflow is required.
What is the UV decontamination option used for?
UV decontamination secures your work sessions by neutralizing residual contaminants between uses. In practical terms, this prevents the risk of cross-contamination.
How long does a UV decontamination cycle last?
A UV decontamination cycle generally lasts between 15 and 30 minutes:
- 15 minutes is often sufficient for “between-procedure” decontamination when the hood is already clean.
- 30 minutes is commonly used for more thorough decontamination, for example at the end of the day.
You can select the UV cycle duration via the touchscreen interface.
How often does the HEPA filter need to be replaced?
Under normal conditions, the H14 HEPA filter should be replaced every 4 to 5 years. This lifespan may vary depending on usage and the working environment. Earlier replacement is required if the filter fails an integrity test or if an increase in pressure drop is detected. Proper maintenance of the prefilter helps maximize the filter’s service life.
