Limitation of use
Erlab Filtering Fume Hoods
Easy installation anywhere, flexible (can be moved), protection at user’s workstation, no limitation in their number in the lab, 100% energy saving, no pollution to outside.
Not suitable for chemical application. Being changed often and for large evaporation.
Erlab Ductless GreenFumeHooods
Same benefits as for Captair Smart + possibility to use various chemicals!
Not suitable for large chemical evaporations, unless chemicals condensing system are used.
Ducted Fume Hoods
Under certain conditions (installation, material used, safety equipment) they can be used for any chemicals with large evaporation rates!
Complex to install with duct, blower on the roof for exhaust + duct, blower, filtration, air conditioning for auxiliary air. Not flexible, large energy consumption, outside pollution. Number of hoods to install in the lab is limited!
Conclusion: Perfect safety, flexiblility and energy saving in a chemistry lab is obtained by mixing those 3 types of fume hoods according to the intended use!
